Water Tank Cleaning Service

Your filter purifies the water you drink, but the tank is the water source for your entire home. The TNT team cleans and sanitizes rooftop and underground water tanks.

Why Is Tank Cleaning Necessary?

Over time, sediment, sand and rust build up at the bottom of the tank, and a layer of algae can form on the walls, especially with tanker-delivered water. This affects the water you shower and wash with, puts extra load on your filters and clogs their cartridges faster.

How the Service Works

  1. Draining the tank of any remaining water.
  2. Removing sediment and sludge from the bottom.
  3. Scrubbing and cleaning the walls and the lid from the inside.
  4. Disinfection with products made for water storage tanks.
  5. Final rinse and putting the tank back into service.

How Often Should I Clean My Tank?

Water tanks should generally be cleaned once or twice a year, and more often if your home relies on tanker water or you notice a change in the water’s color or smell. To protect the tank after cleaning, whole-house (central) filters help keep sediment from entering in the first place.
